What it is
SupaBase Jump syncs your Obsidian vault to your own Supabase. Two devices can edit the same note at once, settings can stay phone-only or desktop-only, and nothing sits on someone else's note-sync server.
Editing together
If two devices share an account, they can type in the same note at the same time. Yjs merges the edits. Each open note gets a short-lived Supabase Broadcast channel; once you close the note, that channel goes away and we fall back to "newer file wins."
Offline
Edits queue locally and push when you're back online (debounced by a second). Other devices come in over Supabase Realtime. If two files conflict, the newer mtime wins. Simple, on purpose.
Attachments and frontmatter
Notes go in a vault_files Postgres table. Images and PDFs go in a private vault-attachments bucket. Frontmatter and tags get their own columns, so you can run SQL on your vault (by tag, status, author, whatever) in the Supabase editor.
Setup
You can sync themes, snippets, hotkeys, and plugin lists to mobile only, or desktop only. One-click setup creates the table, bucket, and Realtime. It also works on a self-hosted Supabase.
Privacy
Access is per-user via RLS. Passwords go through Supabase Auth. The live-edit channel isn't stored. No telemetry. MIT.
